Meet our 2025 Celebrity Guests
Dianne Norman

Dianne is from Fredericton and was a multi-sport athlete growing up and attributes that to her success in basketball. She began competing with the national basketball program in grade ten at the age of sixteen. She went on to play for the national program for 17 years, including two Olympics and three Pan Am games, as well as professionally in Europe. Dianne attended Laurentian University, where they won two national championships, and Dianne was a five-time all-Canadian. She completed her Masters degree back home at the University of New Brunswick. She is a member of the NB Sports Hall of Fame and the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame.
Paul Jones

Paul is a Canadian sportscaster, previously serving as the colour analyst on Raptors radio broadcasts, a role he had during the Raptors’ inaugural season in 1995. Currently, he serves as the Raptors’ radio play-by-play announcer on Fan 590, alongside colour analyst Eric Smith.
Larkin Bogan

Larkin Bogan is an actor/singer/musician/songwriter/producer in NYC. He is a singer on the Wicked movie soundtrack, the upcoming Wicked 2: For Good movie later this year, and has 12 years of experience on Broadway and touring productions such as Wicked, HAIR, and American Idiot. He has been creative producer for Chase Private Client featuring Tony nominated and winning talent in live-streamed shows at Brooklyn Bowl, Irving Plaza, Bowery Ballroom, and Town Hall to global audiences of over 10,000 per show. He is also a producer for “The Janice Jam: Broadway for Breast Cancer”, a running list of Broadway events with Èlan Artists, and numerous recording projects. Larkin can also be found in “SHIZ: Broadway meets Sketch Comedy” (Upright Citizens Brigade) with Tony Winner Shaina Taub, various independent film and voiceover work, and original music on all platforms with his band, Sir Richard Newton.
Miranda Ayim

Miranda is a retired three-time Olympian in the sport of basketball and was flag bearer for Team Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Opening ceremonies. She is also the founder of Cultivate Co., a certified performance and wellness coach, motivational speaker and podcaster.
Dave Durepos

Dave Durepos competed in five Paralympic Games where he won 3 gold medals along with one silver. Since joining the national team in 1994, he has earned numerous medals and individual accolades while developing a reputation as one of the best outside shooters in the world.
Jack Armstrong
Hellloooooo! Jack “The Coach” Armstrong the award winning sportscaster is coming our way to enjoy St. Andrew’s and support the World’s Oldest Basketball Court. Will you be joining us to say hello to him? Make sure to get your team registered so you can quiz Jack on all your Raptors and beyond basketball questions.
Matt Deangelis

Matt Deangelis, originally from Boston Massachusetts, grew up on showtunes and Boston sports. Matt got the call to make his Broadway debut in the Tony winning production of Hair and has gone on to perform in American Idiot, Once and Waitress. Matt has made many performance appearances with multiple TV shows, including the Macys Thanksgiving Parade, Person of Interest, Madam Secretary, Marvel’s Daredevil, EVIL, For Life, and Chicago PD.

Michael Grange

Michael Grange joined Sportsnet in 2011 as a columnist for Sportsnet.ca and regular contributor to Sportsnet magazine. During his time at Sportsnet, Grange has become one of the network’s leading basketball analysts and regularly contributes to Prime Time Sports on Sportsnet 590 The FAN and Sportsnet Central. Not to mention he crushed the “Longest Drive” contest at The Archie last year. Join us to see if he can hold on to the title this year.
Maestro Fresh Wes

We know him. We love him. We can’t wait to see him at The Archie again this year!
Maestro Fresh Wes – Godfather of Canadian hip hop, actor, author, songwriter, TV show host, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, not to mention an all around great human being!
Joyce Slipp

Joyce Slipp (nee Douthwright) was captain and starting point guard of Canada’s first-ever women’s Olympic basketball team at Montréal 1976. Slipp was inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 1992, the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000. Joyce will be joining us at The Archie this year and we couldn’t be more excited to spend some time with a New Brunswick trail blazer and legend!
Eric Smith

Eric Smith, Radio Play by Play voice of the Toronto Raptors on Sportsnet 590 the FAN, & NBA Host and Analyst for Sportsnet and Sportsnet 590 the FAN is going to be one of our celebrity guests at The Archie.
Tony Lepage

Who wants to golf with a Broadway Star? I do I do! Fredericton born Tony Lepage has had a very successful career in the performing arts. Tony previously appeared in the Broadway Production of Come From Away in Manhattan, NY. He also starred as Drew for five years in the Broadway and touring production of The Rock of Ages.
Lisa Thomaidis

Lisa Thomaidis is a six-time Canada West Coach of the Year and three-time U SPORTS Coach of the Year, has tied the Canada West record for regular season wins (331), and holds program records for Canada West playoff wins (56) and U SPORTS National Championship wins (22).
In 2013, Thomaidis was appointed the Head Coach of the Canadian Women’s National Team. Since that time, Lisa has coached the Team to a 7th place finish at the Rio Olympics in 2016, a Pan Am Gold Medal (which was the first-ever Gold Medal in Basketball at the PanAms) and FIBA Americas Gold Medal in 2015, a 5th place finish at the 2018 FIBA World Championships in Turkey in 2014, a 7th place finish at the 2018 FIBA World Cup and a silver medal at the FIBA Americas Championships in Mexico in 2013. Heading into the 2020 (21) Tokyo Summer Olympics, Thomaidis guided Canada to the rank of #4 in the world.
In the summer of 2012, Thomaidis was an Assistant Coach with the Women’s National Team at the London Olympics. There, the team made a dramatic run to the Quarter-Finals, before falling to the USA, the eventual gold medalists.
In the summer of 2024, Thomaidis was back in the Olympics, this time at the helm of the German Women’s National Team. In Paris, Thomaidis guided Team Germany to their first ever win on the Olympic stage before leading the team to the quarter-finals.
Thomaidis played two seasons of professional basketball in Europe in the Greek 1st Division. She was a student athlete for five years at McMaster University where she was a three-time OUA All-Star, and was on the Dean’s Honour List for three years. She finished her career with McMaster by winning the OUA Coaches Award of Excellence.
Matt Stairs

Matt Stairs is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder, first baseman, and designated hitter, who holds the record for most pinch-hit home runs in Major League Baseball (MLB) history with 23. His pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning of Game 4 in the 2008 National League Championship Series off the Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Jonathan Broxton was called “one of the most memorable home runs in Phillies history.” In his career, Stairs played for more teams than any position player in MLB history. Additionally, he is one of only four Canadians to have played for both the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos.
